Remember those letters to Erika I wrote? Well, she wrote back, and I’m inclined to share one part of her message that truly touched my heart:
Someone gave me a gladiola once… I swear it saved my life. It just kept opening a new flower every day
I figured… if it could keep going and be that simple, so could I
But it wasn’t like that really… it wasn’t that I thought that… it was just this simple beautiful flower and looking at it brought me some
simple calm and joy, I still don’t know why, but I swear it saved my life.
Some things they say help…
-Breathing
-Gratitude journals
-Nature
-Remembering someone else’s suffering that is greater
-Simple, simple things… a cup of tea, a fuzzy sweater
-Talking to someone
-Doing something kind for others, service

I started crying. I will always remember that if a flower could go on living as simple and freely as that, then so can I. I know there are great things I’m destined for; greatness awaits me. I have to keep on going to experience that. One day I’ll get married. One day I’ll travel the world. It’s too early to give up on my dreams.
Beyond that, I’ve been so entirely busy with doing rehearsals and classes I’ve barely had time for anything else! In fact while you’re reading this, it’s long been planned and written (premature by at least 1.5 weeks, actually!)
I love it when it snows and snows, even if I can’t run outside. It’s so beautiful; it’s worth it.
JERK CHICKEN ON HIGH PROTEIN DAY; OH YEAHHHH.
Myself and Sophia, whom I haven’t seen in like, 7 years or somethin’!
Sometimes I like taking work to coffee houses to spice things up. I get bored and crazy if I study in the same place day in and day out.
New beverage I’m diggin’: Iced americano blended up from Starbucks. Decaf, of course. And make it double.
Nothing like a night out with friends at least once a month!
We went to see The Wedding Party downtown.
eyyyyy.
Gotta take my daily supplements!
On a not-so-snowy day, I took advantage of the outdoors to run. <3 I love my fitbit surge. It comes with a Heart rate monitor and GPS for running.
Theatre with Kayla right at my school; the acting class was putting on a show!
We had a day when it was really warm outdoors and the snow all melted.
Despite the snow being gone, I really enjoyed my morning workout and the chilly cold air on my way to class. Can you not see I’m glowing?!
I made a vow to myself to hit the gym ONCE this week. And I did, on a Saturday for a good 20 minutes. I did 3 sets of 20 chest presses and I was sore the next day.
’twas a great workout.
Pili nuts are blessed! They make great on the go snacks, especially when you’re at work and you want to sneak a little something in without the boss getting mad. You don’t have to take out your package of containers and forks and spoons and all this distracting and attention-grabbing cling-clang gadgets… you can be discrete. 1 oz (about 15 of them) is 201 calories and just 1g of carbs.
Lately I’ve been using earphones more than before; I used to be paranoid that the direct sound will damage my ears (I still am), but I also realize that I’m being completely ridiculous and I bought them for a reason; as long as I’m not blasting music I’m totally fine.
I received quite a lot of compliments on my adidas leggings. I like them too.
The upper theatre students’ presentation. It was a great show.
Kathy and I agreed. We hit up the production after a quick gym sesh.
I went to the annual Toronto tea festival this year!
Met quite a lot of vendors.
Had a wonderful time at the annual tea festival this year; met other we drinkers and small local businesses that offered high quality, authentic tea. Keep your eyes peeled for a future giveaway!
What do you prefer m’fitties: fruity flavours or earthy ones?
Back to rehearsals! We are tired; even though we hide it well. It’s called acting, LOL.
…and I thought my laptop was fixed but my Thinkpad Lenovo produced this message again. Sometimes a bluescreen would pop up and it would automatically reboot. I’m really worried about my laptop and I think it’s time to buy a new one; I’m looking at the Windows Surface Pro because it’s portable and I love how it can turn into a tablet just as easily by disconnecting the keyboard, but I also wonder how practical it is with a mouse and with video editing software like Adobe Premier (will it work seamlessly? Will the quality still be good?)
Thoughts on getting the new Windows Surface Pro? What computer do you recommend for video editing? Is it just me, or does every single electronic device malfunction before its expiry time in MY hands?! Do you like tea or coffee more?
